HRI Invites 2025: Architecture+Film

HRI Munro is delighted to announce the return of HRI Invites, our annual prizegiving and lecture series, with an exciting new format for 2025.

On Friday 14 November, join us at the La Scala Cinema, Eden Court Theatre, Inverness for a full-day celebration of the relationship between architecture and film; a theme that promises rich and diverse insights.

This year, HRI Invites expands into a mini film festival, running from 1.30 pm until 9.30 pm. The programme will feature a number of screenings, including a UK premiere, with introductions from distinguished voices in film and architecture: directors Murray Grigor and Don Coutts; former Regional Screen Scotland Director Robert Livingston; and Eden Court’s Head of Film Paul MacDonald-Taylor.

The event will be chaired by RIAS President Karen Anderson and will also include the presentation of the Mark Williams Prize, delivered in partnership with the University of the Highlands and Islands.

This unique convergence of film and architecture offers an unmissable experience for professionals, students, and enthusiasts alike. Attendance is free, but places are limited. Keep the date in your diary and watch for programme and booking details coming later this month.
