Mark Williams

All of us at HRI Munro were immensely saddened at the passing of our great friend, colleague and director Mark, who died peacefully on 9th May after a short illness.

Together with co-director Andrew Bruce, Mark built our practice over the past 25 years, and was absolutely integral to our success and reputation in Inverness and throughout the Highlands and Islands. As Technical Director, Mark was responsible for designing and delivering many of our award-winning projects, from Eastgate Shopping Centre Phase 2 and major Forestry Commission projects in Inverness and Huntly, to our recent expanding portfolio of renewables work. Mark’s attention to detail and technical expertise was outstanding, as was his generosity of spirit in mentoring and sharing his knowledge with others.

His buildings will now serve as his memorial.

He was universally liked, respected and admired by all our staff along with a huge range of clients, colleagues and contractors. He is irreplaceable, but the continuation and success of HRI Munro will be his legacy.
